What sets us apart?
Long before I worked for eLeMeNO-Pee, I was a customer. I was introduced to this company by a former rep, Laura, and her enthusiasm for the business was catching. I knew it had to be something special by the way she talked about it.
She was right! By the time I found eLeMeNO-Pee, I had already been cloth diapering for the better part of a year and had a good system in place. When it was time to size up on diapers, I purchased the bulk of my stash through Laura and despite knowing what I was doing, she was still a tremendous amount of help, even for the miniscule things.
The fact is, eLeMeNO-Pee is unique in the way that our clients receive the one-on-one care from their consultants. We sell our products at the exact same MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) as every other company on the market but what sets us apart is the relationship we build with our customers. It isn't just a sales position, we are in it for the long-haul. If you run in to a washing problem at 7 at night, you can't run to most stores and find someone who knows exactly what you purchased, how to fix the problem, or, at that time of night ... someone who is even in the store! As representatives of eLeMeNO-Pee, we strive to make sure we can assist our customers for the lifetime of the product. That is what sets us apart.
When I entered the cloth diaper "scene" five years ago, to say I was overwhelmed is a huge understatement. If you try to figure it out yourself, it is a lot of information to take in and try and sort out, and honestly, I almost gave up several times. Oh, how I wish I had known about eLeMeNO-Pee at the time. I would have saved myself a lot of frustration if I could have sat down with someone who could show me each and every step of the process and answer any question I had (and there were plenty, believe me!). I truly believe that cloth diapering can work for any family with the support and assistance that one receives from eLeMeNO-Pee's reps. We are here to make this process easier for you. We do not charge a fee for our time and service, you simply receive it by purchasing your products through us.
We are set apart because we care. We know all of the ins and outs of the cloth diapering process and we put our expertise to use by assisting you every single step of the way. That's not something Amazon or any major retailer can offer. We aren't primarily in this for the sale, we want to see you succeed. We care about our customers, we care about what these products mean, and we want to see you succeed!

What's the point of shopping local, anyway?
As I was scrolling through my timeline yesterday, a short video from a small business owner popped up in my feed. It was titled "GRRR" and, being the curious type-person that I am, I had to watch.
He owns a small business quite similar to eLeMeNO-Pee. He had just spent two hours with a customer, enthusiastically detailing the entire cloth diapering process, only to end the consultation with her snapping a few pictures, excitedly sending them to her husband who replied and said "I can find those cheaper on Amazon". She left without making a purchase.
Y'all, it is truly unfortunate how many times this happens on a regular basis. It's not always intentional, I'm sure. I think a lot of customers have good intentions and plan to come back to buy the products. They get online, search around, find a mob of people that point them elsewhere (to generally much inferior products), their loyalty to the company who taught them everything they know starts to waiver, and then the sale is then lost.
It may not seem like a big deal but to those of us who own or work for a small business, the loss of sales like this on a regular basis is quite disheartening. We pour our heart and soul in to our business only to be passed over, time and time again, for big box stores or people opting to import directly from China instead.
We offer a level of customer service that big box stores can never compete with. When you come to us, we remember who you are, who your family is, and what your preferences tend to be. If a problem arises, we are physically here for you - to help you get the right fit for the diaper, how to troubleshoot washing issues, and SO many other things. We love to help you hand-pick items for big events in your life and those around you - baptisms, baby showers, and more. We care. Your patronage is not lost on us - you are what keeps us in business!
Not only is it good for the business you patronize to "shop small", but it's great for your local economy as well. Wouldn't you rather your purchase positively impact the economic sustainability of your own community? In fact, a study done in Austin, TX showed that $100 spent at a local book store produced $45 worth of local economic activity whereas the same $100 spent at Barnes and Noble only brought back $3. Yes, you read that right. Three. The difference is staggering!
We know a lot of our customers are also eco-conscious and strive to be as green as possible. Buying local is so much more environmentally friendly than having everything shipped. Industrial pollution is estimated to be responsible for 50% of all pollution in the United States.
On a slightly different note, if every family spent an additional $10 per month, just ten dollars, at local businesses this year instead of a big box store, over 9.3 BILLION dollars would be directly returned to our economy.
The next time you're tempted to walk in to a small store and check out a product and walk out and order from Amazon instead, please keep these things in mind. Where you spend your money does matter. It positively influences your local economy, your local shop owner, and the environment. We value our customers more than we could ever say and hope you will continue to help make eLeMeNO-Pee a great success!

Rep Spotlight: Amanda Herman
This month I have the pleasure of introducing you to our Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania rep, Amanda Herman!
Amanda and her husband have been married three years and have one son who will turn two this July 5. He is their red, white, and blue baby! They are very eco friendly, everything they use is re-useable. They also believe in eating very naturally but also believe in moderation and sometimes have their favorite treats, too! They live in the woods and spend a lot of time outside, including hunting and fishing!
On to a little Q&A!
How did you hear about eLeMeNO-Pee? --I first heard about eLeMeNO-Pee through a Google search when my son was two months old! When I got pregnant I stopped going to school in the classroom and began going to school online. So I spent a lot of time on the computer during my pregnancy. When I was about six months along I heard of cloth diapers through a youtube video. I decided to start googling and found out how easy it was and decided I would do it. I also searched for a company that would educate the general public about how easy it was and how much better it was for the environment. That's when I found eLeMeNO-Pee!
What inspired you to join? --I was inspired to join because they prided themselves in educating others more than just actual sales!
What was the first diaper you purchased? --When I was about eight months along, I purchased my first diapers which were gDiapers newborn and small diapers. I looked around for some in my area used but nobody around here had heard of it.
Pastels, bold colors, prints... what's your favorite cloth diapering color scheme? --I don't have a preference for which scheme I love...I tend to just love everything that bumGenius makes. I do have a weakness for prints I guess because when I discovered GroVia, I traded in some of my pastel bGs for some beautiful GroVia prints!!
We know you are environmentally conscious. What's next for you in your journey toward sustainability? --I think next on the list is I'd love to get a greener vehicle, unfortunately that is not in the budget anytime soon. Another step is to get all of my friends on board A lot of my friends have really taken an interest in our lifestyle and I would love to help them be 100% sustainable.
What do you love about being a cloth diaper rep? --My favorite part about being a representative is educating. Being knowledgeable and continuing to learn myself so I can better educate my clients. But also being their "gateway drug' to living an all around better more sustainable and natural lifestyle.
What is your favorite quote? --"It's not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world. It's our job to raise children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless." I pride myself in practicing attachment parenting and this quote really speaks to me.
What long-term goals do you have for yourself and your family? --I am more of right now person, a next week person but rarely a next year person. We are looking forward to having more children, hopefully sooner rather than later. I also cannot wait to be finished with school!
Which diaper are you anxious to try on your little one next? --I have tried every diaper there is to try and I have to say that I am really looking forward to getting a bumGenius Armadillo. I can not wait to add the next color to my rainbow.

Two more exciting products to launch!
There are so many new and fun things happening at eLeMeNO-Pee and today I get to announce two more products that are awesome for nursing mothers!
LilyPadz are the first new product I get to showcase today and they are such an impressive product. LilyPadz are a revolutionary alternative to traditional, standard nursing pads. They are breathable, flexible, invisible (no obvious, sightly traditional nursing pad peeking through clothing!), and the non-absorbent material conforms to breast for the perfect fit.
LilyPadz are 100% silicone and the gentle, comfortable pressure of the pad works to prevent milk from leaking which is how these are so different from a traditional nursing pad that is designed to solely absorb the moisture. LilyPadz are receiving rave reviews and are sure to be a hit in your home, too! One pair of LilyPadz can be used continuously for two months. We also carry the LilyPadz wipes for convenient on-the-go wipe downs and the LilyPadz wash for a more thorough cleaning each day at home. We also carry them in a size large for those who may need something a little bigger than the standard sized LilyPadz.
The second awesome product our nursing mothers will love is the Undercover Mama nursing tank. The unique appeal of the Undercover Mama tank is that it is designed to attach to any nursing bra. It is not the same as a traditional tank - it simply attaches to your existing nursing bra. Each shirt click here for a video demonstrating use). Your Undercover Mama tank won't bunch up, slide around, or ball up after washing. They fit where you need them to while keeping you covered in style. The generous length allows you to tuck it in or go for a layered look. They also allow you to have two less bunglesome straps getting in the way while you're trying to nurse the baby - these tanks simply attach to any nursing bra to make every outfit easily compatible with nursing! I LOVE this design and cannot wait to personally try it this fall!
All of these items are in-stock both online and in-store and ready to be added to your nursing necessities collection!

Did I say ... mocktails and door prizes?
First things first, eLeMeNO-Pee has yet another exciting event coming up this Friday (May 2nd)! We will be hosting a come and go Matilda Jane trunk show from 2-6pm! There will be mocktails and finger foods, random door prize drawings, and a BIG, in-store only sale announced the day of the trunk show! We are located at 1513 W McNeese St (Suite B) in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
If you're not familiar with Matilda Jane, it is a line of adorable boutique clothing and accessories for both girls AND women! The new Spring catalog was just released *today* so be sure to come in and see all the fun, new things they have to offer. It is going to be a lot of fun and we hope to see you there!
We would also like to thank all of the participants that joined us for this year's Great Cloth Diaper Change! It was a wonderful event and we had a lot of fun! We didn't end up qualifying as part of the Guinness World record but it was still a fun, memorable event regardless. We still had sixteen participating diaper changer+baby combos and as you can see, it was still a store full of people and fun!
We are also proud to share how AWESOME our customers are when it came to their charitable giving! We may have had a smaller gathering than some locations, but that didn't affect our donations for the two cloth diaper bank charities! Check out what our participants helped us gather for those in need:
